The Vermont Caribbean Institute (VCI) is committed to developing people-to-people programs and cultural exchanges between Cuba and Vermont, in accordance with the U.S. Treasury Department’s guidelines for engagement with the people of Cuba.

Some key programming includes:

Vermont-Cuba arts programming, in partnership with Ludwig Foundation of Cuba
Artists-in-residency in Vermont
Annual Forum on Cuba, with guests including Wayne Smith, Dennis Hayes, Larry Luxner, and Madeleine Kunin
Shipment of humanitarian aid to Cuba
