Please let us know if you would like to designate your donation to a particular VCI project or area. We will be delighted to send you photographs and other documentation of the personal impact your donation makes.
SOME POSSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Sports Equipment: $30 makes it possible for a young athlete to purchase a uniform and a pair of used sneakers for the field.
- Educational Materials: $75 makes it possible for a VCI-sponsored teacher to purchase teaching materials, such as readers, maps, and paper supplies, to conduct sustainable-education activities with up to 100 students, daily, for one semester.
- Training and Transportation: $150 makes it possible for a future, young leader, in a VCI project, to purchase one semester’s worth of college textbooks and gasoline for traveling to night classes at the local university or technical center.
- Art Supplies: $250 makes 8 weeks of art classes possible for 8-10 students and buys gasoline for a qualified, local volunteer instructor/artist.
- Office Supplies: $250 makes it possible for a VCI-partnered organization to purchase a printer, paper, and ink for one year. A laptop computer (new or used) will make it possible to maintain communication and develop essential documents.
- Scholarships for Youth Exchanges (Travel to Vermont): $750 makes scholarship-travel possible for a disadvantaged child to experience the trip of a lifetime while participating in our annual baseball-cultural exchange program.
- Educational-Development Scholarships for Vermont-based Training: $850-$1000 makes it possible for the travel of one VCI-sponsored teacher to Vermont, to participate in a sustainable-education workshop, which impacts the lives of hundreds of students.
- Arts Travel Scholarships: $1000 makes it possible for one young Cuban/Dominican artist/art student to travel to Vermont, in order to participate in art exhibits/workshops and learn about Vermont’s community-arts’ initiatives.
